A stunning grade II listed building home to the largest collection of world renowned Joseph Wright paintings, with a number of superb galleries & spaces which can accommodate 2 to 200 guests. Each gallery is unique and full of character and heritage.

The recently renovated and co-produced World Collection Gallery has been restored to its former glory and for the first time in over 30 years the original stunning Victorian architecture has been revealed.  This unique and inspiring space now exhibits amazing and interesting objects from the museum collection. 

Derby’s stunning red brick former Central Library building was designed in 1876 in Flemish Gothic style. Its striking arched entrance, beautiful glass atrium and ornate mezzanine balcony, full of curiosities, make this a unique and stylish venue, located in the very heart of the city. With a licensed bar and room for 200 guests to dance the night away, it offers a fantastic space to mark not only a special occasion, but the flexibility for larger scale events including weddings, conferences and fairs.
