At the Tank Museum we bring the history of tanks and tank crew to life.
Our exhibitions tell the story of armoured welfare from World War 1 to the present day and features over 300 vehicles including the world’s first ever tank – Little Willie. The museum houses 6 large halls where you will come face to face with vehicles that have seen action in all the major wars of the 20th Century and hear first-hand accounts from those who fought in them.
The Tank Museum provides a unique setting for a wide range of corporate and private events. From dining surrounded by the world’s finest and most historically significant collection of tanks in our Tamiya Hall to holding a meeting in one of our 2 smaller conference suites. We will tailor your event and offer a bespoke service to ensure your delegates and guests become part of the history of the tanks.
With a variety of facilities available for hire, during office hours and evening events, The Tank Museum’s dedicated Events Team will be delighted to help you make the most of this historic and inspiring venue. Our facilities can cater for 10 to 400 delegates, helping you design the perfect bespoke package for any occasion.
The Sherman & Churchill Suites can be arranged to accommodate a variety of events; from corporate conferences and meetings, to dinners and lectures. Both of these suites include a PC with MS Office, free Wi-Fi Internet access, VCR and DVD player, lapel microphone and sound system, as well as an overhead digital projector. These suites are linked by an adjoining door and can be booked independently or together, making them ideal for groups who require a meeting room with a separate dining or breakout area. Capacity is up to 100 people in theatre style seating.
The Tank Museum is situated in South Dorset, and is clearly signposted from Dorchester, Blandford, Poole, Bere Regis and Wool. The Museum offers large, free parking facilities to all guests and delegates.
As a registered charity and Museum of the Royal Armoured Corp and Royal Tank Regiment, all revenues raised are reinvested into the Museum, to develop our exhibitions and maintain our collections for future generations to enjoy.
